Despite the best intentions in the world, despite the sweetest promises made in moments of passion, people change, relationships drift and fade and people move on. This I know is true, and there's nothing I can do about it but to see it fall apart. I tried.
Remind me next time if I stand too close, sometimes I get a little too comfortable.

That bitch in the office is seriously pissing me off.
Like today she went for lunch for almost two hours and I was left outside and I had to fucking call her to unlock the fucking door for me when she should be back at the office way before me. Apparently, bosses are out, and she should lunch for two hours, what a fucking twat.
The she is using office's recources for her own stuff, like printing her own silly things. Then she's one the phone whenever bosses are out. What pisses me off more is she is talking so fucking loud and she could go on for hours. Oh, it's really amazing that she could just hang up in the middle of the conversation when she hears the gate open, when boss is back. Also, she would sit and online as long as bosses are out, she's on MSN, she's on gossips website, she's on friendster, and when bosses are back she would so gracefully dash back to her own station. She's also got problems with English songs because she's Chinese educated and she hates English songs mainly because she can't understand engrish, but sadly in the office we play English songs and she would make this sound like she's really annoyed like sighhh and haiihhhh and once everyone is out, she'd turn the main speakers off and start blasting her stupid Chinese songs. Oh did I mention she can't sing for shit?
That's not it. She squeaks. All.the.time. I'm not kidding, it's like she's on this constant orgasmic mode. Plus she's like the ugliest bitch in the world and when she squeaks, I'm all like jeeebuss, just imagine Zaha Hadid orgasm. Yeah, I know, it's so bad. You know, she's all like Ugly Betty, they are both really ugly and they wear braces and shits but difference between Ugly Betty and this ugly skank is that at least Betty is really sweet, this ugly skank is one bitter mothefucker. One word: grotesque.

Further from the truth, are we?
I realize that telling lies is the hardest thing to do ever, despite the fact that sometimes we lie only because it is necessary to protect ourselves, but really, most of the times we lie because we are just being way too nice to hurt other's feeling. Lie is just one form of betrayal. The worst kind because the intention of it is that you'll never have to find out the truth about it so everything could stay the same, a little less drama to deal with. But the scariest part about it is that when lies became the truth and when everything we thought were true is just a lie, where should we go from here? Should we just pretend this never happened, because there is always tomorrow to wash away today's lie, because when tomorrow arrives, we would just repeat our lies again until the day we get caught. Lie hurts, it really does, and sometimes it end relationships. I wish I could pretend it was all true and I wish my brain would just choose to believe the part that you wanted me to believe, then everything couldn't have been further from the truth. But, funny thing about telling lies it that we are bound to get caught, sooner or later, and when that does happen, it changes everything. Exactly what Haram had said 5 years ago "You betrayer". And just when you think I am referring to myself, think again.

USE YOUR BFF AT THE COST OF NOTHING!

We are so totally like BFF'S right, I mean you and me and like everyone. So we should really just fucking use each other, you know right, because that's like what BFFs do right? And it doesn't really matter what you ask for right, I am like so totally your BFF, I will just fucking help you realize your masterplan ain't it? And when it all went down the drain, I'd be at your side tell you the world is fucked up right, and there's always another chance, right? And you'd be like, you are so fucking right, I will not give up, because I'm so fucking desperate, right, and you'd be like, oh gosh, your totally my BFF, like FOREVER, right? And then, when I asked for your help, you'd be like, oh gosh so sorry, I've just been really so fucking busy planning yet my next fucking masterplan, and of course as your BFF, I really shouldn't stand in your way, right, and I'd be like, yeah it's okay, I'll just fucking ask my other BFF then because I've got plenty anyways, so it just doens't really matter which one I asked help from because as BFF's we really shouldn't be counting how much I've given and how much you've taken right, because that's so totally not something BFF do right? So like this is us, the BFF, we use each other for the love of god, for like there's no tomorrow.

The things they say about him.

Burning candles glow stillness, melted ire and let-downs. Quietly, you flipped your book full of words printed on the warm aesthetic of the brownish paper. Held firmly in your left hand and being read in dim flickering light. It's the mysteries of powerless, it's almost primal. Was it really this easy, and simple for you. How could you have remained so clam, in the moment of utter kerfuffle.
Do you have a reminder for me, perhaps the leaves of silvery green would fall, and yet the night before, had the outlines of shrubs and towering trees gathered underneath the ghostly shapes of high clouds dim and illuminating. Have I been here before? Perhaps it was the sense of your presence and that strange warm sense of commonality.
And every time I think about it, my palms would sweat and my heart would squabble. At times, I would leave everything in disguise. Little pieces of torn up promises scattered across forlorn memories, flown and warbles into the dark skies above. Many questions left unanswered, much like yesterdays crosswords, despondent of filling in today.
Would you still dazzle, in your little world, when blood smeared on your face, when the light goes off, would you think about me? Would you gaze in the sun looking for the spotless dream, tampered within it's shell, basked in despair, tarnished in your pain and mangled in your great fears.
I still dream of you all the time. It started and stopped, started and stopped, like an endless loop, it was always the same but different, much like how everything looked the same in vivid blurry. I still talk to you, but only in dreams. I would forget what I said, but I knew I did. I could only reach you in my dreams, and it's the only time I feel real, and the only chance to find what I am looking for. And a dream is just a dream, it's as close as I could get to you.
At 4:51am, you quietly flipped to a newly unread page.
At 4:52am, when I woke up, the dream was over, and you were gone.
And so were we.
I still think about you everyday, I really do. Baffled by our existence, ringing the common buzz, still, I never understood why had to moon rose before the sun went down. Still I never understood why did you leave before we even get there.

See me draw my Obsession with Roman Statues

See me draw #2: Giordano Bruno, the heretic thinker who were burnt to death during the period of Pope Clement VIII on 17 February 1600. During his trial he stood up and said: "Perhaps you, my judges, pronounce this sentence against me with greater fear than I receive it."
More than 400 years after his execution, during the papacy of John Paul II, officials acknowledged there were error in Bruno's trial and expressed "profound sorrow" of his condemnation to death and his statue was erected on the site where the execution takes place.

See me draw #3 : Conversations with random angry mob.

As bad as this might come out, sometimes I really wish everyone would just fuck the hell off my face. I'm so tired of wearing my smiles for you all when everything you see is on the surface. Try open me up and see me bleed. Try stabbing me and watch me scream in agony.
Everything is a big fucking lie, and I am stupid enough to belief that is all true, until today, when you finally put on your spectacular little show what your capable of, despite our friendship, as much as you know it's going to hurt me.Fuck you all.
Imagine Peace Tower, Iceland

On Tuesday, Yoko Ono unveiled a monument in memory of John Lennon that she hopes will be a literal beacon of peace for the world. The tower, named "The Imagine Peace Tower" is a beam of light, radiating from a wishing well bearing the words "imagine peace" in 24 languages. The plan is for it to be lit each year between his birthday, Oct. 9, and the anniversary of his death on Dec. 8.
The Imagine Peace Tower is located on Videy Island near Reykjavik, Iceland. Ono said Iceland was chosen "because it was a very eco-friendly country that relied on geothermal energy."
Sponsored by the City of Reykjavik, the Reykjavik Art Museum and Reykjavik Energy, the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER will be surrounded by more than 495,000 PEACE WISHES from people worldwide that the artist has collected since 1981 as part of her interactive Wish Tree exhibits.
The wishes will be stored in capsules and buried surrounding the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER

Holy shit. Some one cracked Tate Modern & 2007 Sterling Prize

This installation by the Colombian artist is called 'Shibboleth' - a fissure that starts as a hairline crack at the top of the ramp near the west entrance of the hall and zigzags 167 metres down to the far end, gradually widening and deepening as it runs, creating smaller and more superficial cracks along the way.
Shibboleth - which comes from the bible, refers to a word that only those your own tribe could pronounce - to proof that you belong. A shibboleth is a test of authenticity, a means to separate friend from foe. The artist used this as the metaphor for racism. Salcedo has said that the crack and the wire mesh refer to the evil of racism, the divide between the black and white halves of humanity that, in time, only gets deeper and wider and will, at the end, bring the whole building down.

Said Salcedo: "It represents borders, the experience of immigrants, the experience of segregation, the experience of racial hatred. It is the experience of a Third World person coming into the heart of Europe. For example, the space which illegal immigrants occupy is a negative space. And so this piece is a negative space."
The museum and artist are choosing to let the process of its creation remain a mystery, yet the exhibit will be closed next year when the crack will be filled in: "There is a crack, there is a line, and eventually there will be a scar and that scar will remain. It will remain as a memory of the work and also as a memorial to the issues Doris touches on."
Holy shit, I could only imagine what it's like to really be there and look at it. I suppose it must be visually stunning.
'Shibboleth' will be on display until 6th April 2008. I need to start saving up.

Gross internal area: 3,800 sq m
Following re-unification, texts of various well-known German authors which had previously been dispersed to east and west have now been brought together in this new museum. In a suitably commemorative manner the building forms a small Acropolis attached to the National Schiller Museum on a ridge overlooking the valley of the River Neckar. The entrance sequence is brilliant. The visitor crosses an open terrace overlooking the valley, then negotiates a series of shallow steps to enter the generous portal formed in the colonnade, then enters through giant hardwood doors. A staircase descends to the collections with their required diminishing lighting levels. It is at this moment of descent that the building shows its pedigree – a sense of a progression to somewhere beyond, combined with a rich but selective palette of materials and illuminated with subdued top lighting. The route concludes in the permanent collection. Here glass cases containing original manuscripts form a magical flickering landscape. There is a particular theatricality about this space, as though the reflections, refractions and multiple shadows from the small intense lights collectively represent the soul of the German imagination.
There are many things to praise about this building – the architect’s control and discrimination in the choice of materials has by now become a signature but above all it is in the handling of the ‘difficult whole’ that the building excels. The external pre-cast concrete arcading (or is it a screen or even a cage?) forming the entrance pavilion is also applied to the plinth on the east side. This unexpectedly produces a monumental elevation cut into the hillside, which simultaneously democratises the acropolis giving equal status to pavilion and plinth. The same measure and interval of the vertical structure is then to be found forming the soffit to the beams to the galleries inside…. Truly a tour de force.
Since the end of the war Germany has been sensitive to matters concerning the neo-classical in architecture. Had it been submitted a decade or two earlier it would surely have been eliminated for its formal manner. It is encouraging that with time, more even-handed attitudes have prevailed.

What's more depressing than a catch pop song about suicide? And interesting choice of guest collaboration by the band, the appearance of The Cardigan's frontwoman Nina Persson sure does give this track a little more attention that it should be getting. It's a nice song nonetheless.

Wow, Your Maid's Bathroom Is Bigger Than My House.
This is a pretty old news, probably 2 or 3 months back, but I decided to post it anyway.
If you look up Wikipedia's entry on India capital, Mumbai's demographic, it's something like this:
And this, the super-fugly 1 billion, 27-storey skyscraper you are looking at is not some new apartment development that is about to rise over the skyline of Mumbai, but a house, yes this is a house, or home, or whatever you want to call it of filthy rich Indian dog named Mukesh Ambani, apparently he is the richest man in India, like eww.
According to the BBC website:
As cheesy as this might sound, I have always treated architecture as a solution to a problem, any problem that one perceived, like the word concept we love to use so much. Concept is like, a proposal, stating the problem; where it could be the site, the society, or even at bigger scale, the city or country, and designing, developing the concept is like a process of finding a solution, hence the architecture - how is the proposed architecture is going to make a difference to a site. Sure, when architects say construction of high rise could actually provide long term solution to shelter the homeless - if the high-rise is actually providing shelter to hundreds of family, not just one family.
And the firm that design this, is ironically the quite respectable firm Perkin + Will. It's ironic that this piece of crap is coming from this firm, when on their official website, they stated that their main design philosophy is, and I quote "ideas + buildings that honor the broader goals of society." Since more than 50% of Mumbai's population live in poverty and dwell in slumps, I cannot help but wonder how this building could "honor the broader goals of society" when all that people on the street is going to see is this big fucking chunk of Uno Stacko telling them just how miserable, how poor they are.
It's also very interesting to learn that Perkin + Will's company visions is that "Sustainability plays an essential role in everything we do. It's our personal commitment to creating solutions that contribute to human well-being and enhance the long-term health of our planet." Sure, the awful rendering shows they considered planting jungles on some intermediate floors, sure there are some nice tress hanging off the balcony and some nice watery features that made the building look so green, so environmental friendly. But sustainability does not only rely on plating jungles on your balcony, and having a pool won't help with the global warming, puh-lease. From my understanding that is, most things you would find in eco-friendly buildings like solar panel or maybe rain water collection is NOT part of the design. Eco-friendly? You've got to be kidding me.
So, all I am saying is that it proved my point that, most (but not all) rich people, they have a way of making poorer people look up at them, whether they are really just too ingorant to realize or, maybe they deliberately want to flaunt their richness in everybody's face, I really have no idea. And, please, I am not even categorizing people. This is daft.
If you look up Wikipedia's entry on India capital, Mumbai's demographic, it's something like this:
"Like other metropolises in the developing world, Mumbai suffers from the same major urbanization problems seen in many fast growing cities in developing countries — widespread poverty and unemployment, poor public health, civic and educational standards for a large section of the population. With available space at a premium, Mumbai residents often reside in cramped, relatively expensive housing, usually far from workplaces, and therefore requiring long commutes on crowded mass transit, or clogged roadways. According to 2001 census of India, more than half of the city's population lives in slums, that is about 54% of the population lives in shantytowns and slums."
And this, the super-fugly 1 billion, 27-storey skyscraper you are looking at is not some new apartment development that is about to rise over the skyline of Mumbai, but a house, yes this is a house, or home, or whatever you want to call it of filthy rich Indian dog named Mukesh Ambani, apparently he is the richest man in India, like eww.According to the BBC website:
His skyscraper home in the city will be over 170m tall and will have an army of 600 staff to manage it. Its 27 floors on a 4,532 sq metre plot will provide a panoramic view of the entire city of Mumbai (Bombay) once it is completed next year.
The first six floors will serve as car parks. A health club will be built on the next two and the few floors above that will house hundreds of staff.
Fifty-year-old Mr Ambani and his family will occupy the top floors of the building which will also have a (correction: there were 3 proposed) helipad and swimming pools.
Critics say it is an obscene display of wealth, especially in a city where more than half the inhabitants live on the pavements.
Architects believe that the construction of high-rises will provide a long-term solution to the problem of sheltering the city's homeless, especially when development land is in short supply.
One architect who is constructing a building which will be even taller than that planned by Mr Ambani told the BBC that Mumbai will soon be "littered with high-rises" as the government strives to shift slum dwellers into tower blocks."
Best of '07 - Singles: Modest Mouse - Dashboard
Well, you told me about nowhere
Well, it sounds like someplace I'd like to go
Oh, it could've been, should've been
Worse than you would ever know
Well, the windshield was broken

(The dashboard melted but we still have the radio)

Dashboard/Education/Little Motel 7"
Taken from album We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank [2007]
Single released 13 March 2007
Track length 04m 08s
First single off Modest Mouse's 6th studio release - the rather ambiguous title: We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank is brilliant single Dashboard. Depends how one choose to interpret the lyrics, but as Modest Mouse always do with their song, there's a lot than what's seen on the surface. Basically this song, really is pretty much about looking for the good in bad, shit happens but we all gotta move on. However, digging it deeper, this song is filled with sarcastic environmentalist undertones, with a lot of subtle references to current environmental issues. In fact, not only this song but the whole album's concept revolves around global warming.

到底想怎樣最近似乎每個歌手都很愛玩中國風﹐有些唱的真的很難聽﹐聽了會很想去死,啊就連一向吹著日本搖滾風格的F.I.R也認不住來了一點中國風。F.I.R. 一向來給我的感覺其實並不是很好﹐ 他們的音樂和造型包裝擺明就是在學日本的大無限樂團[Do As Infinity]。就連團名都要學 Do As Infinity 的。 D.A.I. (Do As Infinity) vs F.I.R. (Fairyland in Reality). 根本就是D.A.I.在唱中文。 無法否認f.i.r.
