People say this year the English team is the golden generation; with Rooney's performance with the Red Devils, he has became one of the fast rising football cult hero that everybody loved and combined with Michael Owen (not anymore), the front line is untouchable. It may sound totally absurd, but anything that can draw a connection line for Engrand to winning the crown this year is acceptable.
