The Invisible is an American remake of a Swedish film, Den Osynlige, based on Mats Wahl's book of the same name. The film follows Nicholas, a young student who is planning to study abroad in London, whom has been mistakenly assaulted by Annie, a trouble teenager, and is left for dead. However, Nick did not die from the attack, but lies on the verge of life and death, and become literally invisible. The story goes on as Nick watches helplessly as his mother and the investigators searched for his body. While Nick is unable to speak or do anything to help them locate his own body, quite ironically, his attacker, Annie could hear him. Just hours before Nick would be dead, Annie managed to escape the police and convinced Nick's mother to speak to him at the hospital, and hence saves Nick's life.

This film was not screened before it's release and publicity has been low profile. Despite mostly negative reviews, this movie is a hidden gem, when you don't expect anything out of it, it could be a really awesome flick. Despite being all supernatural and invisible, this movie does offer some rather surprisingly deeper points to ponder with it's simple layering of storyline and character developments.

What I really love about this movie is the soundtrack part. All the songs were right on with the scenes. It certainly reminds me of the feeling I get with Garden State.
